Creating Space to Devote to My Practice: How I Opened the Door to Serve, A Lesson in Letting-Go

February 2026 marks a new chapter in my life and in this practice. Since 2023, while building this biofield tuning and sound healing practice, I've continued to have one foot in my practice, while having one foot in the corporate world. As my practice grew, the space to work the accounting position I was devoting 30+ hours a week to was clearly becoming more and more of a weight versus a benefit in my life. I'd work from 6:30am to12:30pm Monday thru Friday, and would begin seeing clients at the Aitkin Studio by 1:30pm to 6pm Monday thru Friday. On weekends I would 'catch-up' on things for my practice all weekend long. I barely had time to care for myself! On Friday January 16, 2026, while working at my corporate position, it hit me like a lightning bolt. It's TIME. It's time to actually take the seemingly giant leap of faith (a total illusion), and to fully believe in myself. To make space for self-care, to make space to devote my entire array of talents to this practice. My client calendar was consistently showing lots of 'purple' as new and returning clients would book their appointments, I was consistently working at being grateful and willing to accept money for my services (I'm sure we all work on this!) and becoming more comfortable with using my voice again to speak what I want into existence. So this was it. I decided in partnership with my husband, that we could make this happen. We were both ready to bet on me. So, I wrote up a resignation letter for my employer. My body was shaking from head to toe, my teeth were chattering, was I really going to do this? I signed my resignation letter, and sent it off. It was done. Honestly, I think my body is still trying to catch up to the reality of the situation as I write this on February 12th, less than a month later. It's a process I'm grateful to be in the midst of traversing through.
What This Means for You
Leaving corporate America was about more than retiring and then having a 'hobby' on the side. This is about fully surrendering to the call. About stepping into my purpose. Now I'm able to expand my availability, to immerse myself in the creative process of developing my practice, and to share it all with YOU!
What this looks like:
Expanded hours at Simply Sound: Biofield Tunings and Private Sound Baths are now available as early as 10:30am central.
Daytime Sound Baths: Beginning in March, there will be daytime sound baths! Be sure to check the event page to see which events you can come to enjoy.
Enhanced healing experiences: Now each biofield tuning visit comes with an emailed personalized session summary. Outlining what we went over, ways to support the energy center we worked with, and what we can look forward to in future sessions.
Deeper client connections: I'm looking to connect with you! With more time flexibility and joy in my life, I can devote energy to things like writing this blog post or reaching out in email/text message to check in with you more often. To build our relationship!
Giving Back Through Volunteer Opportunities

With more availability, I am ready to become involved with volunteering. Volunteering allows me to share the benefits of biofield tuning beyond my private practice. I'm looking to participate in wellness fairs, community health workshops, and support groups where I offer group sessions and educational talks.
These volunteer efforts help:
Raise awareness about biofield tuning: Many people are unfamiliar with this healing method, and community events provide a chance to introduce it in an accessible way.
Support underserved populations: Offering free or low-cost group sessions helps those who might not otherwise afford alternative healing.
Build stronger community bonds: Healing is not just individual; it’s collective. Volunteering connects me with others who share a commitment to health, well-being and caring for our communities.
This work enriches my practice and keeps me grounded in the values that led me to biofield tuning in the first place.
Sharing More Electric Health Content
Another exciting development is the ability to create and share more content about electric

health! Electric health explores how energy and vibration affect our bodies and minds, and biofield tuning is a practical application of these principles.
By dedicating time to writing articles, recording videos, and posting on socials, I can:
Educate clients and the public about the science and benefits behind biofield tuning.
Provide practical tips for maintaining electric health in daily life.
Answer common questions and address misconceptions about energy healing.
This content supports clients between sessions and invites new people to explore biofield tuning with a clearer understanding of what to expect.
What This Means for You as a Client
If you are currently receiving biofield tuning or considering it, this transition means you can expect:
More flexible scheduling options to fit your lifestyle.
More personalized sessions that include practical follow up guidelines.
Access to community events and workshops where you can learn and experience biofield tuning firsthand.
Regular updates and educational materials to support your healing journey.
My goal is to create a supportive environment where healing can happen naturally and deeply. With the freedom to focus fully on this work, I am excited to see how we will work together!
Moving Forward Together
Choosing this practice is a big step! It has allowed me to align my work with my passion for healing with sound and electric health. At my practice here at Simply Sound, every session is an opportunity to nourish your energy field and support your well being, bringing in balance and flow.
